My name is Megan van der Walt, I am 18 years old and I am from Centurion, Gauteng. My hobbies are fitness, singing, painting and spending time with family, friends and pets. A message to teens my age would be… never judge a person by their current circumstances in life, you have no idea what they have gone through and what goals they need to reach in order to get to where they want to be. So rather, be kind, help where you can and always support those that are less fortunate to help them reach their hopes and dreams.

Leruo Nape

Hardworking determined and ambitious are a few words that describe me. Dumelang! I am Leruo Nape, 17 years of age and currently residing in   Johannesburg South, in Gauteng. During my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, crocheting and spending time with my family and friends. 

I live by the wise words of Emma Stone, saying that there is no better representation of beauty than someone who is unafraid of being herself. We live in a society where we are constantly pressurised to fit into a perfect picture, however I am a firm believer in that once we come to the understanding that our flaws and imperfections are what makes us unique and being confident in that is what makes us truly beautiful.

Kayla-Ann Lindsey

I am Kayla Anne Lindsey and I am a strong, independent, young 18 year old woman. I come from the big city of Pietermaritzburg in the luscious KwaZulu-Natal. Throughout the past 16 years, I have passionately mastered a variety of dance forms which include: ballet, contemporary, Irish, ballroom and Latin American dancing.

My message to teenagers: “you do not need other people’s opinions to know your worth. If their name isn’t God, their opinion does not matter and their approval isn’t needed” this comes from someone who was emotionally abused for 12 years. Due to this, I desire to use this pageant title to share what I have learnt to empower other struggling women and children. Afterall, one person’s voice can be a pivot point for a nation.

Gugulethu Mayisela

Gugulethu Mayisela is an ambitious, confident and driven 17 year old from the City of Gold, Johannesburg, Gauteng. She is an aspiring philanthropist who has a passion for humanity and its wellbeing. Her hobbies include baking, reading and karate.

“You are confined only by the walls that you build for yourself” – That is the message Gugu would like to share with the youth. As the future generation. We need to understand that with hard work and perseverance, we are capable of achieving our greatest goals!
